People with diabetes must deal not only with their disease, but also with the impact this has on their lives and emotions. A self-management approach to diabetes education gives people the knowledge, tools and confidence to take day to day responsibility of their diabetes care. It's Time to Take Charge The Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation, GrowWell, and Henry County Medical Center will be offering a free Take Charge of Your Diabetes Program workshop. The 6-week program is designed for people with diabetes and caregivers to learn basic skills necessary to self-manage their diabetes and work effectively with their healthcare professionals. The Take Charge of Your Diabetes Program is led by educators certified by Stanford University Diabetes Self-Management Program Master Trainers. Classes will be held every Tuesday from 10am until Noon. Cost is free and open to anyone with diabetes. Spouses, family member and caregivers are welcome to attend. *Receive a $50 Gift Card for Groceries at completion at last session if 5 sessions attended.  Spaces are limited for the 2-hour workshop. The workshop is offered by the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation Delta Rural Health Initiative. To register, call 731-644-3463.

Diabetes, a complex condition, often creates feelings of fear, confusion, and helplessness in those diagnosed and their caregivers. Managing the disease not only involves addressing its physical aspects but also navigating its impact on one's life and emotions. Empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools for self-management is key to taking control of their diabetes care. Join Our Diabetes Workshop and Take Control Today! This transformative opportunity with the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation, GrowWell, and West Tennessee Healthcare- Henry County Hospital, offers a complimentary Take Charge of Your Diabetes Program workshop. This 6 week initiative is designed for people with diabetes and their caregivers, helping them learn important skills for managing their condition and working well with healthcare providers. Led by educators certified by Stanford University's Diabetes Self-Management Program Master Trainers, these sessions will run every Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. This invaluable resource is FREE and extends a warm invitation to spouses, family members, and caregivers.
