Paris, TN – Healthcare charges can be difficult to understand, which is why Henry County Medical Center is announcing that a new feature has been added to its website to help patients and their families become better informed.
In accordance with a directive from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requiring hospitals to provide information about charges for their services as well as negotiated insurance rates and discounted cash prices, Henry County Medical Center has launched a price estimator tool on its website: www.hcmc-tn.org. HCMC’s online price estimator tool allows users to create an estimate of out-of-pocket costs for the most common procedures and services. The final amount of the hospital’s charge may be different from what is shown in the list if additional services are ordered or if services are performed due to complications that may arise during the course of treatment.
To access the price estimator, users can click on the “Patients & Visitors” tab at the top of the homepage, then click “Billing & Insurance,” followed by “Hospital Charges.”

“Hospitals are now required to meet hospital price transparency requirements by providing a comprehensive file of all standard charges for al hospital items and services along with a consumer-friendly display of standard charges for at least 300 shoppable services provided at the hospital,” said Ridley. “HCMC now meets these with the price estimator tool.”
