PARIS, TN – Henry County Medical Center’s Volunteer Auxiliary awarded a $1,000 scholarship to a previous HCMC Auxiliary scholarship recipient who is continuing to pursue a degree in the medical field at the June meeting.
The recipient Leah Carol Bell was a graduate from Henry County High School. Bell is the daughter of Jerry and Tamara Bell. Bell received the HCMC Auxiliary Scholarship for the 2018-2019 school year. She will be returning to Murray State University, pursuing a degree in nursing for the 2019-2020 school year.
“We are pleased to continue support Leah as she pursues a degree in nursing,” said Mary Lou Walker,, HCMC Volunteer Auxiliary member. “We are excited to see Leah complete her goals and to serve in such an important role in the medical field.”
The Volunteer Auxiliary at Henry County Medical Center is comprised of nearly 50 volunteers that serve across the organization. Auxiliary volunteers offer their time, talent and dedication throughout the hospital in patient care and clerical settings. Our volunteers come from unique backgrounds and share the common interest in helping others.
