HCMC CIO Pam Ridley to Retire on June 10

Paris, TN — After more than three decades of service to Henry County Medical Center, Chief Information Officer and Compliance Officer Pam Ridley recently announced that she will retire from the hospital on June 10.

Ridley came to HCMC on Jan.8, 1985 to work in the IT department as a Computer Operator. In 1987 she was named the Director of Information System. In this role, Ridley had oversight of all computer hardware, software, system implementations/upgrades and the advancement of technology usage at HCMC. Under her leadership, the Information Systems department has been recognized nationally as “The Best Hospital IT Department – Small Division” by Healthcare IT News, a national healthcare magazine. She was promoted to Chief Information Officer in 2018 and has served in that role ever since. As Chief Information Officer, Ridley had the added responsibilities for Telecommunications and Corporate Compliance. She came to HCMC in 1985 after working in the manufacturing industry for one year.

A native of McKenzie, TN, Ridley graduated from the University of Tennessee-Martin in 1984 with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science. She and her husband, Tim, have two married daughters, two granddaughters, one grandson, and one granddaughter on the way.

“During her long career at HCMC, Pam has seen been involved in many positive changes and has made sure HCMC always had state of the art technology. Pam always demonstrated competence and integrity in everything she did” said Brad Bloemer, Interim CEO and CFO.  “We are thankful for Pam, and we will miss her at HCMC, but we wish her well in the next chapter of her journey.”

“HCMC has been my HOME for many years, and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity and trust that was given to me to lead the Information Technology Department,” said Ridley. “I have worked with amazing people and wish the best for HCMC!”

Ridley is being replaced in the Information Systems department by Nathan Williams as Director of Information Systems.
