HCMC Celebrated Service Week

CUTLINE: Partners at Henry County Medical Center involved with the Service Week committee were joined by Carly Wheat, Executive Director with Henry County Carl Perkins Center for The Prevention of Child Abuse.

PARIS, TN – A hospital is more than a place where people go to heal, it is a part of the community that fosters health and represents hope. It is our goal at Henry County Medical Center to serve and give back to the community we call home.

Each year, HCMC celebrates Service Week each September and selects an organization in our community to serve. During the week of September 8-14, numerous events were held to honor the service that our partners give to our organization and community as well as raise funds for the 2019 service project, Henry County Carl Perkins Center for The Prevention of Child Abuse.

Henry County Carl Perkins Center for The Prevention of Child Abuse’s mission is to provide support to families in preventing and dealing with child abuse in West Tennessee and to help both parents and children meet the practical needs of preserving and improving the quality of family life.

Through donations made by HCMC partners during Service Week, $950 was donated to Henry County Carl Perkins Center for The Prevention of Child Abuse.

“The annual Service Week provides a time to celebrate our healthcare organization, healthcare providers and workers,” said Lisa Casteel, CEO at Henry County Medical Center. “It allows us to continue Growing Forward to serve our community, as well as be an integral part of our community.”

A full slate of activities for 2019 were planned including snacks, our annual Service Award Recognition Reception, HCHS Football Game and Tailgating sponsored by HCMC Medical Clinics and more.
