HCMC Announces Extension of Elective Surgery Delays and New Hours for HCMC Wellness Center

PARIS, TN – As changes continue to be announced by Federal, State, and Local governments, Henry County Medical Center continues to have updates to its services and visitation guidelines to ensure that our patients, partners, and community continue to be safe during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Governor Lee’s Executive Order #25 states, “All healthcare professionals and healthcare facilities in the State of Tennessee shall postpone surgical and invasive procedures that are elective and non-urgent.  Elective and non-urgent procedures are those procedures that can be delayed until the expiration of this Order because they are not required to provide life-sustaining treatment, to prevent death or risk of substantial impairment of a major bodily function, or to prevent rapid deterioration or serious adverse consequences to a patient’s physical condition if the surgical or invasive procedure is not performed, as reasonably determined by a licensed medical provider.”  This order extended that delay to April 30, 2020.

Because of this order, the HCMC Surgery Center continues to be closed and essential surgeries only are being done at the hospital.

Effective immediately, the HCMC Center for Wellness & Rehab’s new hours will be Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.  For questions or assistance with scheduling or changing appointments, call 731-642-2411.

Also, announced today, the Paris and Henry County Chamber of Commerce kicked off a campaign to feed frontline staff at HCMC during this pandemic.  To learn more about this awesome endeavor, go to https://www.paristnchamber.com/feeding-our-frontline-at-hcmc/.

Regarding testing, many have called to inquire how to access their test results.  All test results are sent to your provider and your provider is to call you about them.  If you had your test collection completed at HCMC, you can additionally access your results through our patient portal on our website at https://www.hcmc-tn.org/patient-portal/.  You can also contact our Health Information Management Department and request your test results at 731-644-8432.  You will need to provide the date and time you plan to arrive.

Patients will need to park in the Emergency Department parking lot and walk up to the blue awning next to the Emergency Room to collect their medical health records.  Please call the above number when you arrive so that a member of the Health Information Management staff can meet you with your records.  Please bring your driver’s license or a form of identification to pick up your records and be prepared to sign and fill out any necessary paperwork.

The hours of operation for Health Information Management are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

HCMC Administration continues to follow the CDC guidelines as well as the TN Department of Health guidelines to ensure the safety of our patients, families, partners, and community.
