Free Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccines will be given for ages 12 and older at Henry Elementary School located at 937 Pioneer Drive in Henry. The Drive-thru will be from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Parents/Legal Guardians must be present for children ages 12-17 and identification is required for minors to verify age.

HCMC will be offering FREE COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Fridays November 5, 12 and 19. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd doses (boosters) are available. Moderna vaccine will be given Friday mornings from 8 a.m.- 10 a.m. for ages 18 and up. Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be given Friday mornings from 9:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. for ages 18 and up. Pfizer vaccine will be given Friday afternoons from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. for ages 12 and up. Minors must have identification and must have a parent present to receive vaccination. Our Chronic Disease Management Program offers free screenings including total lipid panel, blood sugar, blood pressure, BMI  and A1c.  If a person has a chronic condition , smokes or is overweight, they can join the program for free. Participants are screened every three months and receive education about their chronic conditions. All patients must be fasting for 8 hours to participate in the screening. Screenings will be done by appointment only to provide social distancing. Masks are required. Thursday, December 16, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, December 17, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. HCMC Classrooms 2 & 3 The “Masquerade Experience the Frenzy Jewelry and Accessories Sale” will be back on December 16 and 17, 2021. The two-day event will be held at Henry County Medical Center in Classrooms 2 & 3. The company caters only to hospital auxiliary groups across the south and they are experts at showcasing large volumes of accessories, making a win-win proposal to all involved. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted and 20% of all sales go to the hospital’s Auxiliary.

Better Breathers Clubs are welcoming support groups for individuals with COPD, pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer, and their caregivers.  Learn better ways to better cope with lung disease while getting the support of others in similar situations. HCMC and the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation will be providing trained facilitators to give you the tools you need to live the best quality of life you can.   The HCMC Better Breathers Club will begin meeting every 3rd Monday of each month in the HCMC Cafeteria from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and feature educational presentations on a wide range of relevant topics, including:

• How COPD affects the lungs
• Breathing techniques
• Exercise
• Talking with your physician
• Medications and other treatment options
• Medical tests
• Supplemental oxygen
• Home healthcare
• Lung transplants
• Air pollution
