    Cancer Support Group-Cancelled
    11:30am - 1:00pm
    First Presbyterian Church in Paris at 11:30 a.m. The Cancer Care Center of Henry County, The Healthcare Foundation, and Henry County Medical Center come together to offer a support group for cancer patients and their caregivers every 2nd Thursday of each month. Lunch is provided, but you must RSVP for the support group meetings. To RSVP, call the HCMC Find Line at 731-644-3463 or e-mail Lori Stambaugh, Community Health Educator at lstambaugh@hcmc-tn.org The group meets at the First Presbyterian Church in Paris at 11:30 a.m. For more information, call the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation at 644-8215 or call the Cancer Care Center at 731-644-3522.

    Better Breathers Clubs are welcoming support groups for individuals with COPD, pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer, and their caregivers.  Learn better ways to better cope with lung disease while getting the support of others in similar situations. HCMC and the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation will be providing trained facilitators to give you the tools you need to live the best quality of life you can.   The HCMC Better Breathers Club will begin meeting every 3rd Monday of each month in the HCMC Cafeteria from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and feature educational presentations on a wide range of relevant topics, including:
    • How COPD affects the lungs
    • Breathing techniques
    • Exercise
    • Talking with your physician
    • Medications and other treatment options

    • Supplemental oxygen
