September 14th- October 19th – 9am to 11am. each Thursday

If you or someone you love has health problems such as diabetes, arthritis, cancer, chronic bronchitis, high blood pressure or other chronic diseases, the Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshops can help you take control of your life.

By participating in a six-session workshop, you will learn ways to:

  • Manage your symptoms
  • Communicate better with your doctor, family members and friends
  • Lessen your anger and frustration
  • Fight fatigue and pain
  • Build confidence
  • Manage stress and learn to relax
  • Discover better nutrition and exercise choices
  • Manage medications
  • Get more out of life!

Spaces are limited for the 2-hour workshop, held each week for six weeks by certified leaders with health conditions themselves.

The workshop is offered by in partnership by the Henry County UT Extension Office and the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation Delta Rural Health Initiative.

Cost is free and open to anyone with a chronic condition.  Spouses, family member and caregivers are welcome to attend.  Each workshop participant receives the book, Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions and a relaxation CD.

Free Screenings from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on completion of the class on October 19.  You must complete 5 of the 6 sessions to receive the free screening.  You must be fasting 8 hours prior to the screening.
