Who: Patients with heart attack,
heart surgery, stable angina with or without stents or heart transplant.
What: Exercise and education program
designed by your doctor and a registered nurse.
How: Exercise sessions
are telemetry monitored and under the supervision of an advanced
cardiac life support registered nurse. Your doctor will receive regular
reports.
When: Your doctor prescribes cardiac
rehabilitation and you schedule an orientation class. Sessions are
three times a week at a time convenient for you for a period of about
12 weeks on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for about one hour each time.
Outpatient Phase II
Who: If you’ve “graduated” from
phase I, have a physician request and have a history of heart disease
or related heart problems.
What: A progressive maintenance
exercise program for a healthier lifestyle with staff available
during the exercise sessions.
How: The cardiac rehab staff will
be available to assist you as needed.
