Imaging Services

HCMC Imaging has now expanded with 2 locations to better serve our customers.  The Henry County Diagnostic Center which is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as our existing hospital location, which is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days-a-week.

The Diagnostic Center is conveniently located on Tyson Avenue directly across from the hospital. We have a covered drop off with wheelchairs available, plenty of parking and onsite registration for Imaging Service, Laboratory, EKG and Pre Admission Testing. We are also connected to our Main campus by a pedestrian bridge across Tyson Avenue for easy access to patient rooms and cafeteria.

Regular diagnostic exams (example chest x-ray) may be done on a walk-in basis at any time during Diagnostic Center hours or 24 hours/day and 7days per week in the Imaging Department within the hospital.

We schedule outpatient exams at the Diagnostic Center for Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, Bone Densitometry, Cat Scan, MRI and some diagnostic procedures from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We have duplicate services in Cat Scan, MRI, Ultrasound and Diagnostic Imaging at our Hospital location. This location also includes our Nuclear Medicine Department.

Our Digital Mammography unit is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and we are a “pink ribbon facility.” In the new Women’s Center of the Diagnostic Center we have private dressing rooms and warm robes for our ladies to provide comfort and privacy.

We also serve as a clinical site for Jackson State Community College for the Radiologic Technology program. We have a full time clinical instructor and up to 9 students enrolled each year between the first and second year programs.
