If I am pre-registered, what happens on the day of my procedure?
On the day of your procedure, please come to the Central Registration area located to the left as you enter the facility from the catwalk connected to patient parking. Directional signs on the hospital campus will direct you. Upon signing in, inform the clerk that you have pre-registered through online pre-registration. Our registrar will then quickly confirm and complete your registration forms with you.

How far in advance can I pre-register for my test/procedure?
There is no time limit. You can pre-register as soon as your test/procedure has been scheduled. But, you must complete online pre-registration at least 48 hours prior to your visit in order to ensure the information has been processed for quick registration.

Can I pre-register for any test?
Yes, you can pre-register for any outpatient test ordered by your physicians and available at Henry County Medical Center. These may include labs, x-rays, MRI, CT scans, Ultrasound, or any other outpatient service.

Can I pre-register for outpatient surgery?
No, not at this time. Those having surgery have a list of tests that must be performed beforehand by Pre-Admission Testing (PAT). Patients are asked to make an appointment for PAT before the day of the surgery by calling Central Scheduling at 731-644-8486, option 2.

Why do I have to give all of my information and sign all of the forms again when I just came in last week?
Your insurance company and government healthcare laws require that we obtain your signature and authorization each time you receive care at the hospital. By signing the forms, you are also giving us permission to bill your insurance on your behalf, preventing you from having to complete the billing yourself. It helps to ensure that your insurance provider is billed correctly and timely.

What are the benefits of using completing the Pre-Registration forms?
When you pre-register by completing the forms and emailing them to us, we are able to obtain all necessary information in advance…saving you time. You avoid the wait while we contact your insurance company to verify your benefits, which often is a time-consuming process. In addition, we are able to obtain any necessary referrals or authorizations from your insurance company. Pre-registration also allows us to clarify any special instructions that your physician may have. Plus, it allows us to provide you with a good-faith estimate of costs associated with your procedure or test, so you know how much you will be out-of-pocket. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Central Registration at 731-644-8530.
