Henry County Medical Center provides the best in Orthopaedic Care to its patients. With four full time orthopaedic surgeons on staff, a nursing floor dedicated to orthopaedic care as well as a certified orthopaedic nurse on staff, HCMC is positioned to provide you the best inpatient care for replacement of total joints and other orthopaedic surgeries. HCMC also has a comprehensive rehabilitation services department which offers inpatient care, acute rehab care at Plumley Rehabilitation as well as outpatient care through the Center for Wellness and Rehabilitation. At home care with HCMC Home Health & Hospice is also available. HCMC also offers a free class each month for patients either considering or scheduled to have a total joint replacement surgery.

Imaging
Henry County Medical Center offers the latest in imaging services including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Digital Mammography.
HCMC imaging is staffed 24 hours/day and 7 days per week. Regular diagnostic exams (example chest x-ray) may be done on a walk-in basis at any time. We schedule outpatient exams for ultrasound, nuclear medicine, mammography, cat scan and some diagnostic procedures from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We have added a mobile MRI to enable us to extend MR services with later appointments. We also offer digital mammography and have received a three year accreditation by the ACR and we are a “pink ribbon facility.” In 2012, HCMC will open a new, state-of-the-art Diagnostic Imaging Center for the convenience of our patients.

Wound Care
offering the best in wound care treatment
Henry County Medical Center has recently expanded its wound care program to include hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine is located at 235 Tyson Avenue, which is beside the hospital in the same building as Paris Surgical Associates. Sonya Clark, RN BSN, our Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse, and Dr. Boyd is Medical Director of the new facility, offering the best in wound care treatment to our patients.

Hospitalists
Meet our team of outstanding hospitalists
A Hospitalist is a physician who specializes in caring for patients in the hospital and who usually does not have an outpatient medical practice. At HCMC, who have a team of five outstanding hospitalists who accept referrals from primary care physicians when their patients are sick enough that they can no longer be cared for in the outpatient setting. You will see your regular doctor soon after discharge from the hospital, if your physician has referred you to a Hospitalist.
